Description

Welding electrodes S-46.15 Universal are designed for manual arc welding of carbon and low-alloy structural steels and shipbuilding steels of normal strength with yield point up to 490 MPa in all spatial positions (especially vertical from top to bottom). Can be used for welding from both AC and DC power sources at any polarity.

Welding with rutile-type (rutile-cellulose) coated electrodes provides globular metal transfer making them suitable for welding metal plates, especially for welding thin-gage plates with short intermittent welds, the cellulose content allows vertical downward welding.

It has excellent welding characteristics such as relatively weak sensitivity to ruts, primers and surface contamination of products, stable arc, little spattering of molten metal, easy slag separation and formation of uniform surface with fine flakes of weld bead with a smooth transition to the base metal.
