Welding electrodes ST 308L-16 are designed for manual arc welding of corrosion-resistant (stainless), heat resistant and heat-proof high-alloy steels of austenitic-ferritic and austenite class designed for welding in all spatial positions, except for vertical downwards. Can be used for welding from both AC and DC power sources.

Electrodes of grade ST 308L-16 are suitable for welding of corrosion-resistant steel grades: 08Х18H10 (AISI 304), 03Х18Н11 and 03Х18Н12 (AISI 304L), 08X18H10T and 12X18H10T (AISI 321) and similar operated at high temperatures. Welded structures are designed for operation at high temperatures up to 600°C and effects of aggressive media. Welding electrodes ensure high resistance to hot cracks and excellent resistance to intercrystalline corrosion.

These steel grades occupy leading positions in the production of various process equipment in different fields of modern technology, especially in chemical machine-building, shipbuilding and aviation.

The surface shall be clean and free from dust, oil and other impurities before welding.
