Electrodes ST 308L-16

Welding ST 308L-16 electrodes are electrodes with acid-rutile type of coating with ultra-low carbon content, designed for welding stainless steel. The electrodes provide high quality welding with minimal spatter due to easy slag separation.

The advantages of electrodes

The electrodes are resistant to hot cracks. The weld metal is resistant to intergranular corrosion at temperatures up to 300°C.

The content of the ferrite phase in the deposited metal in the initial state after welding is 2.5...4.5% (FN 4-8).

They can be used in all spatial positions except vertical from top to bottom.

They are suitable for welding stainless steel grades: 08X18H10 (AISI 304), 08X18H10T (AISI321), 12X18H10T. They are also suitable for welding sheet metals operating at temperatures up to 300°C.


Welding can give off fumes and gases hazardous to health! Avoid inhaling these fumes and gases! Ensure proper ventilation! Special eye, body and respiratory protection must be used!


Calcination of welding electrodes before welding lasts for 1 hour at a temperature of 300°C.
